Energy Performance Certificates - Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need an EPC?
Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are required when a property is:
  • built
  • sold
  • rented
As a property owner you must order an EPC to present to potential buyers and tenants before you market your property to sell or rent.

What Information can I get from an EPC?
An EPC contains:
  • information about a property’s energy use and typical energy costs
  • recommendations about how to reduce energy use and save money
An EPC gives a property an energy efficiency rating from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient) and is valid for 10 years.

How long does an EPC take?
It will take about 30- 40 minutes to complete a survey of a typical 3 bed semi detached house. We will then process the information at our office and produce your EPC. This will then be sent to you as a PDF via email.

When could you carry out the EPC for me?
Contact us either by phone or by completing the "Contact us" form, we can sometimes offer an appointment the same day or  usually within the next  couple of days.

Are you qualified and insured?
We are fully qualified, registered, accredited and insured and have many years experience within the construction and energy efficiency industry. We hold Professional Indemnity and  Public Liability Insurance .
